Sisyphus is the task that never ends. Where this asteroid sits is where you push the same boulder up the same hill, watching it roll back down, knowing you'll push it again tomorrow. This is the absurd persistence that defines your character — the effort that seems futile but that you do anyway, because giving up isn't in your nature. The secret Sisyphus knows is that meaning isn't in the summit. It's in the push itself.

In Cancer this point remembers. Sisyphus attaches repetition, futility, and finding meaning in the push to people, houses, smells, and specific years, and nothing in that archive ever gets marked as resolved. You scan every room for whether you are safe and whether you are wanted, in that order, before you have consciously decided anything. Old hurts here do not fade — they quietly steer choices you are certain were logical.

Sisyphus is where you do not stop. The task repeats, the ground does not obviously advance, and you push anyway — and that refusal is genuinely the load-bearing part of your character. People rely on you here precisely because the work is thankless.

Filtered through Cancer, that gift shows up as nurturing, intuitive, protective — and it is most obvious to the people who watch you handle repetition, futility, and finding meaning in the push when you think nobody is measuring.

Unexamined, effort becomes its own justification. You will keep pushing something that does not need to be pushed, or that was designed to be un-pushable, because stopping would mean the previous decade was wasted. It is not perseverance at that point; it is sunk cost with better branding.

Cancer adds its own version of the cost: moodiness and a tendency to withdraw into their shell when hurt. In this part of your chart that is not a personality quirk — it is the specific way Sisyphus goes wrong for you, and it will keep repeating until you name it as yours instead of theirs.
