Atalante in Sagittarius
The Runner No One Caught in Sagittarius

Atalante is your speed — the part of you nobody catches. Where this asteroid sits is where you move faster than the room: quicker reflexes, quicker reads, quicker exits. You will not be slowed down or claimed by anyone who has not proved they can keep pace, and you have quietly beaten people who underestimated you. The trap is the golden apple — the shiny distraction rolled into your path at exactly the wrong moment, which costs you races you were already winning. Know which race is yours, and let everything else roll past.

In fire, your speed is pure acceleration. The first ten seconds are yours, and you have to learn to hold a lead.

In mutable mode, your gift is agility: changing direction without losing pace.

In Sagittarius this point keeps an eye on the exit. The moment speed, agility, and the race you refuse to lose starts to feel like a fixed arrangement, Atalante begins insisting the real version is somewhere else. You call it optimism, and sometimes it is. Sometimes it is a refusal to be held. The pattern to watch here is how often you leave right before the part where it would have gotten good.

You are quick here, in body and in reflex. You read the gap, move before the others have finished thinking, and cover ground in a way that looks effortless from outside. It is also where you refuse to be owned or slowed down by anyone who has not proved they can keep up.

Filtered through Sagittarius, that gift shows up as adventurous, optimistic, philosophical — and it is most obvious to the people who watch you handle speed, agility, and the race you refuse to lose when you think nobody is measuring.

You can be pulled off course by the shiny thing rolled into your path. Unexamined, you sprint past the people and chances that matter, then lose a race you were winning because something glittering distracted you at the worst moment. The other failure is refusing any partnership that would require you to slow down at all.

Sagittarius adds its own version of the cost: restlessness and bluntness that can unintentionally wound. In this part of your chart that is not a personality quirk — it is the specific way Atalante goes wrong for you, and it will keep repeating until you name it as yours instead of theirs.

Atalante fires when someone underestimates you because of how you look, and you decide, without saying anything, to leave them behind.

The work is knowing which race you are in. Speed is only an advantage when it is pointed at your own finish line. Name the golden apples that distract you, and the next time one rolls past, let it roll.
